Finally some pictures!!!

So it's only taken me since August to finally get around to updating!  I'm going to try to get some pictures uploaded with this post so just bare with me!

I'm going to start off with the cards for my first 2 months of club.  I wanted to do something easy but fun for September because I had a couple of new stampers coming and I didn't want them to get scared by some complicated technique but I also wanted my more experienced stampers to enjoy themselves.  I used the stamp sets Out on a Limb and Festive & Fun, both from the holiday mini as well as the Spiderweb embossing folder from the IB&C.  The base is Pumpkin Pie, the embossed panel is Lucky Limeade, and the mat behind the cute little witch is Rich Razzleberry.

I actually had my club participants switch the Razzleberry and Limeade as I liked the look of it better, but I forgot to take a picture of it when I switched it and then gave my card to one of the members who couldn't make it the night of club. The witch is stamped on Very Vanilla even though it kind of looks more like Whisper White in the picture! Also, it doesn't show up very well in the picture but the witch is sponged lightly in Basic Black on the edges. I had them do a few cutesy things for the inside of the card...
I had them tear the image out and then sponge the edges in Limeade.  The friendly little spiders are also from the Out on a Limb set.

And since I'm so far behind I thought I'd go ahead and show you the card for October's club.

This was CASE'd from the card on page 16 of the Holiday Mini.  My sideline actually came up with it at our September meeting and my upline and I both liked it so much we decided to make it in October too!  It uses the Spice Cake DSP (LOVE!) and the Gently Falling and Always Thankful stamp sets, also from the Holiday Mini.  Add a little linen thread and a naturals button and voila!  Super excited to show this card off!

Last but not least a Congratulations card.  It's not exactly the best card I ever made, or my favorite but I whipped it together for my BFFAE (Best Friend Forever And Ever) for her ENGAGEMENT!  I was super excited and she's planning to use yellow, gray, an black as her wedding colors so I did what I could to show them off as well.  I got the build a blossom stamp set and punch in my starter kit and have had the (discontinued) swirls and curls hostess set from the last summer mini all waiting around to get inky so it was the perfect occasion!  As the first of the gang to get married I'm super excited to finally be a bridesmaid!  I was beginning to think I needed to coin a new phrase: Only a bride, never a bridesmaid!  So so happy for Erin and Robert!

Happy stamping and crafting to anyone who might be out there reading this.  I promise now that I've gotten things rolling I won't keep you waiting so long!

Sorry...again =(

So I've pretty much epic failed at keeping up with this thing!  Don't worry, I haven't forgotten, just been crazy busy.  I've officially signed up to be a Stampin' Up! demo now though so I'm hoping to get some projects posted on here.  (We've all heard that before!) I had my first workshop today and it was alright but I wish I would have had better attendance. =(

I'm sorry!

Ok, so I know that I said I was going to work on getting pictures posted, but unfortunately that has had to be pushed back due to other "adult like" responsibilities.  Boo!  With all the crazy storms we've had recently our yard and landscaping needed some serious work, and with the rain forecasted for this week I figured I'd better get it done while the hubby was home to help!  So I've spent all day (well with the hubby) mowing, pulling weeds, cleaning sticks/limbs off the roof, cleaning gutters, sweeping the sidewalk, etc.  It's been a busy but productive day.  So, now it's all done and I can devote the rest of the week to stamping.  YES!

Don't worry I'll be back soon...WITH PICTURES!

Let's get stampin!

So, the past few days have been BUSY!  I haven't gotten to do any stamping because I was in Decatur helping a friend paint her new house and get some stuff moved in.  Then yesterday I spent the day with my mom.  We had lunch and then did a little shopping.  I did a lot of shopping.  My phone has been dying recently so I went ahead and got a new one, not the plan for the day, but much needed.  It was so nice to be able to call people and not have dropped calls or check my Facebook without my phone freezing.  What did I ever do before cell phones?!  But anyway, I was hoping to get some stamping done when I got home last night, but I was just so sore and tired that I pretty much went straight to bed and passed out.

It all works out though because my demo is having a Scrap Night tonight at her house so I'm going to get to go have some girl time and get some stamping done and the hubby is going to get to have some guy time at the house while I'm gone.  Everyone's happy!  =) Gotta go start figuring out what I'm going to take along with me tonight.  Hopefully I will be able to get some pictures posted before the weekend is over!

Rain, Rain, Rain!

So, it started storming yesterday afternoon, and I THINK it's finally stopped now.  I was going to do some yard work, but I was grateful for the rain because that gave me an excuse to sit inside and stamp!  Although I really could have done some house work.  It was SO nice to listen to the rain last night though!  I was able to get some father's day cards done as well as a sympathy card.  Thankfully I don't need it just yet, but I got the Thanks for Caring set from the last mini and I wanted to try it out, so now I'm prepared.  Once I figure out a few more things on here I'll do what I can to get them posted.  I'll admit I CASE'd the sympathy card, but the father's day cards I designed myself (they're really just 3 of the same card so it wasn't TOO much creativity).  There are a LOT of cards that I've found over at SCS that I have added to my favorites to CASE or at least get some inspiration from.  I just need to get my latest order from my demo.  Silly me was all excited and set to go pick them up today, but then realized it's only Tuesday and I'm not actually going to be going to see her until tomorrow! =(  I guess that just means I need to get all the house work done today so that I'm completely free to play after I get all my new goodies.  I can only imagine what I'll have to bribe myself to do once I am my own demo and just have to wait on the guys in brown to deliver right to me!

Ready or Not!

Well, I've decided to sign up to become a Stampin Up! Demo!  I'm so excited but I want to wait until after the first of July when the new catty comes out.  It's so difficult to wait, I am so anxious to see all of the great new products that are on the way and the new in colors that will be available.  I've gotten some "sneak peaks" from other demo friends but it's different to be able to see it for yourself, I think.
It's weird because as anxious and excited as I am to get the new stuff and start stamping, I can't get myself to just sit and stamp anything right now!  Every time I try to sit and get something accomplished my computer starts calling my name to come and browse and search for new sneak peaks, or new cards/projects to bookmark and CASE.  Thankfully we are almost half way through June (although, I'm going to go ahead and say half way!) so July is just that much closer.

I've tried to blog before but it never fails that I always end up abandoning my blog or just deleting it myself for one reason or another.  Hopefully this time I am able to stick with it since I'm sure that I will have plenty of new cards and projects to share!

You can't order through me yet, but don't forget that after June 30th those Last Chance Stamps and Accessories will be gone for good!  So find a demo near you (or contact me and I can hook you up with my current demo, she's great, so you can stock up before it's too late!
